Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications under the guidance of senior developers.
• Write clean, readable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Learn and work with relevant programming languages, frameworks, databases, and development tools.
• Analyse problems, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Debug existing code and resolve reported defects.
• Assist in developing new features, APIs, and application modules.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team meetings.
• Follow software development practices, coding standards, documentation guidelines, and version control processes.
• Test developed features and support bug fixing before releases.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, meet agreed timelines, and provide regular progress updates.
• Continuously improve technical skills through self-learning, research, experimentation, and practical implementation.

Requirements

• Preference for candidates with a strong learning mindset and a genuine interest in software development.
• Must demonstrate initiative, discipline, accountability, and the ability to learn independently.
• Should possess good logical reasoning and a structured approach to solving technical problems.
• Must be open to feedback and willing to adapt to changing project requirements and technologies.
• Academic projects, GitHub repositories, coding exercises, or personal development projects will be considered an advantage.
• Candidates should be willing to complete technical assignments or coding assessments as part of the selection process.
• Prior professional experience is not mandatory; attitude, learning ability, problem-solving skills, and fundamentals will be given greater importance than the number of technologies known.

Good to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL, preferably MySQL.
• Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
• Self-learning attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies independently.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a positive approach to debugging and troubleshooting.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Familiarity with Git, web development, APIs, or software development tools is an added advantage.
